This paper examines the relationships between artificial intelligence and globalization within higher education through a bibliometric analysis of academic literature. Using data retrieved from the Web of Science database, the study analyzes 59 articles and review papers published between 2020 and February 2026. It investigates publication trends, identifies the main contributing authors and countries, and explores patterns of international collaboration. The findings reveal growing scholarly interest, alongside a geographically diverse but uneven distribution of contributions and limited cross-national cooperation. Keyword co-occurrence analysis conducted with VOSviewer identifies four major thematic clusters: pedagogical and application-oriented research on artificial intelligence and machine learning; system-level perspectives linking technology, science, and globalization; student centered themes focused on performance, design, sustainability, and implementation challenges; and globalization-driven concerns related to internationalization, employability, and quality. This study contributes by offering a structured and up-to-date bibliometric mapping of recent research at the intersection of artificial intelligence and globalization in higher education, explicitly highlighting higher education as the integrative nexus through which technological innovation, institutional transformation, and global dynamics are jointly articulated.
